The End of an Era

The End of an Era

On July 20, 2026, Casa de Monaco sold its final Peter James cigar case, officially closing a chapter for a collection that became recognized among cigar enthusiasts for its handmade leather craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

For years, Peter James Co. created leather travel humidors and cigar accessories built around the cigar experience - giving enthusiasts a refined way to carry their favorite cigars, along with the essentials that complete the ritual.

With the retirement of the Peter James Cigar EDC line, the remaining pieces became the final examples of a collection that will no longer be produced.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship

The appeal of Peter James was found in the details.

Their travel humidors represented a dedication to handmade leather goods, combining quality materials, practical design, and the appreciation for craftsmanship that has always been closely tied to the cigar lifestyle.

Each piece was created with purpose - designed to travel, to be enjoyed, and to become part of the moments surrounding a great cigar.

The decision to retire the collection was not about lowering standards, but about preserving them. As the costs of materials and skilled labor continue to rise, maintaining the same level of craftsmanship becomes increasingly challenging.

Rather than compromise what made the collection special, Peter James chose to close this chapter with integrity.

Thank You, Peter James

For Casa de Monaco, July 20, 2026, will be remembered as the day the final Peter James case left our collection.

We are grateful to have been able to share these pieces with our customers and be part of the journey of a brand that contributed to the world of cigar accessories.

While this chapter has come to an end, the appreciation for well-made accessories continues.

At Casa de Monaco, we remain committed to bringing our customers unique pieces from brands and makers who share a passion for quality, design, and the cigar experience.

Some products eventually leave the market.

But the stories created with them remain.
